Hotel d'Amour is a musical farce based on the greatest of all farces, a Flea in Her Ear, by French master farceur Georges Feydeau.

In 1993, Chicago theater critic Jack Helbig teamed up with fellow Chicagoan, songwriter Gregg Opelka, to write Hotel d'Amour, a musical based on this French classic. It, too, was an instant hit.

With a wonderful double-role for the actor playing both the insurance salesman Victor Chandebise and the decadent bellhop Poche, Hotel d'Amour is a mad romp through 1907 Paris.
